The Kathryn Collection

This Collection came about through many avenues, mostly by my attraction to Lapis Lazuli.

Afghanistan and Pakistan have mined Lapis throughout time, and it's fascination and beauty carried it to the Renaissance and Baroque as a paint pigment, ultramarine. I've mixed up this Collection with some dyed, blue tagua, Millefiori, and some gold, freshwater pearls. I've dedicated the name " Kathryn" to a friend's sister who recently passed away, her love of Lapis was pure.
I’ve returned to the “Kathryn” collection during the Pandemic. I don’t know why? It just happened. This time around, I’m more focused on the African trade beads (story there)and the Millefiori beads. Ask me a question? “Why do you keep repeating yourself?” Because it’s still interesting, duh.
