Found Object/Ribbon Necklaces
I started creating jewelry over 25 years ago with fits and starts along the way. It began like everyones, a simple beaded necklace to enjoy.
As I started using metal, I became fascinated with the found object design, and I knew that's where my creativity was heading. So, by chance I took several workshops from the master of Found Object's jewelry, Fred Woell. Fred had a beautiful simplicity to his work, but his message was powerful. I was lucky to have a minute of Fred's knowledge, and his presence is always close. That said, now I've come full circle and find that these charmed necklaces are becoming my muse.

This is a combination of carved Ivory broaches, carved, ivory beads, a cream silk ribbon, on an antique Turkish bellydancing chain.
